I hope the holidays brought your family, in whatever form or fashion that consists of, together with joy, happiness and love. I had the good fortune to spend Christmas with both my brother and sister. This doesn't happen every year for my brother and his wife live in my home state of Illinois and they don't always make it down to Texas or myself up there. This year was special. The time was brief but the quality was exceptional. I am so, so blessed to have been given a brother and sister that are unconditional in their love for me. I only hope that I honor that love given by returning it with fervor and grace.

MOMMA IS COMPLICATED encompasses a relationship between a daughter and her momma where a web has been spun and the reciprocal fear bites and leaves scars. However, with this entwining of complications, hopeful desire for forgiveness encroaches to whisk away stings with a hopeful resolve.
